The reflections on the lake at uni are always so interesting! When mum and I arrived home this afternoon we spotted two magpies acting distressed by the mango tree, and then realised that their baby - the one who has been hanging around - was tangled in the netting over the tree. I got a towel to cover him to calm him down, and carefully untangled him. He was so tangled it took me a while, his parents watching on, and finally when he was free I examined him and he seemed unharmed minus a bit of blood on his wing. He sat there on the grass wrapped in the towel before one of his parents came to him and they went off together.
